Olap Train

OLAP Train was founded by Rand Heer and Tom Chester.

Rand, a long-time Silicon Valley entrepreneur, was the founder of Pillar Corporation which developed the benchmark software for enterprise budgets and forecasting. He also started FP&A Train, the largest Essbase training company.

OLAP visionary, software developer and author— Tom created Open EIS pack, Microsoft’s groundbreaking EIS/OLAP tool. He also wrote the Mastering Excel book series.

Over the past year, Rand and Tom assembled a team of top-flight OLAP and data warehousing experts who created the curricula that is now licensed by Microsoft for distribution through their CTEC and other channels.

OLAP Train’s previous training and consulting activities have been transferred to its sister company, Aspirity.
